Dr. Jeanneine Jones to Receive National Award for Middle Level Education

Columbus, OH – Jeanneine Jones, Ed.D., Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, NC, is the recipient of the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) John H. Lounsbury Award for Distinguished Service in Middle Level Education. The highest honor offered by AMLE, the award was established to recognize individuals whose scholarship, service, leadership, and contributions to the theory and practice of the middle level education ideal have been extraordinary

ACTFL Names Interim Editors For Foreign Language Annals

Drs. Kristin Davin and Francis Troyan will serve as Interim Editors of the association’s quarterly scholarly journal Foreign Language Annals (FLA) effective August, 2023. Drs. Davin and Troyan have deep and broad experience in language teaching, learning and research.

Foreign Language Annals is the official journal of ACTFL, first published in 1967. FLA is a refereed journal published four times per year. The journal is dedicated to expanding the awareness and understanding among language education professionals of current research, pedagogy, and challenges facing the profession. According to the most recent Journal Citation Report, FLA has a two-year Impact Factor of 2.7.
