Profile

Dr. Jeanneine Jones is Professor Emeritus of Middle Grades Education. She completed her Ed.D. at UNC-Greensboro. She has 44 years of middle grades experience at 8th grade and university levels, including a past PDS relationship with a 21-year history. Her experiences have led to numerous publications, presentations, and leadership roles that allow her to teach with high impact what she has learned. In addition to these responsibilities, she is Chair of the College Board ELA pre-AP Curriculum Development Committee and serves on AMLE’s Professional Preparation Advisory Committee. Even in retirement, Dr. Jones continues to teach core courses as an adjunct professor in the middle grades program. In 2022, Dr. Jones received the Cato College of Education’s Distinguished Faculty Award and Sustained Service to Public Schools Award for her commitment to teachers and schools.
